Teamwork

The definition of a drowsy or medically impaired driver is outside of automotive developers’ expertise. To solve this challenge, Xylon brought together an interdisciplinary team of experts in traffic science, driving human behavior and cognitive science, with a goal of establishing bio-medically proven levels of a driver’s drowsiness and distraction. Our automotive and AI engineers respected the established thresholds and replicated bio-medical measurement results with an in-cabin built-in video camera.

The main contributors to the definition of driver drowsiness and distraction base lines have been experts from the following institutions:

  • University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing
  • University of Zagreb, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences
  • University of Zagreb, Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences
